On this day James Okumu and d Nancy were discussing on how one should take their meals. Kate explained that taking proportionally balanced meals was important. She explained that one should take quite a heavy breakfast, and then take a sizeable amount of food at lunch time and a very light meal during dinner. She further explained that all this three meals should contain equal amounts of vitamins, proteins and carbohydrates. She warned the audience against taking heavy meals during dinner as the food will not be digested well since on is asleep and they are therefore not active hence the metabolic rate is low. James Okumu really enjoyed the show especially on this day because he had never heard of this before. He kept asking Kate questions on his context and on his experiences.

On this day, Claudia was discussing about women and the time in which they should conceive. She explained of a research report that stated that if you’re a woman your ability to conceive in your 30s or 40s might be affected by your blood type. An American study had found that women with the most common blood group that is group O have higher levels of a certain chemical called FSH which suggests they have fewer eggs left than the women with type A or B blood. Fertility expert Professor Simon Fishel talks to Claudia Hammond on this issue and explains further on how this could be prevented. Prof. Simon advised women to consider giving birth in their 20’s to avoid this inconvenience. Claudia was quite disturbed by this results and she probed the prof. for more questions and the validity of the results. I personally found the results too strange because this will lead women to getting wrong partners and getting pregnant at an early age for fear of never conceiving.
